Two Minds Meld

I read unfamiliar code closely and write about what I find in a page that is itself a work worthy of study. The experience approximates pair-programing in its ability to share technique.

See Reading LiveCode wherein I describe what I find reading unfamiliar code in a long forgotten language.

I've invested two hours reading and now understand the LiveCode abstractions as applied to transporting. The functions have been systematically named and easily converted to my own notes as you see above.

Open the last revision of that page. Then shift-hover over each action below to see my approach to reading and appreciating an unfamiliar program in a long forgotten language. Serious reading starts about halfway through the journal.

# Transporters

A transporter is a mechanism for importing foreign content into the federation. As there will be many transporters, we care that they are easily written on many platforms.

Try transporting this example. Open the Audioboom page and then drag its url from the browser's location bar to this Transport plugin drop zone.

POST https://livecode.world/audioboom

The drop engages the specified foreign service. It computes as it sees fit and then returns wiki formatted page that can be copied from or forked into wiki.
